Several significant projects are advancing along U.S. 31 in Alabaster, marking a period of growth and change for the area.

The City of Alabaster voted June 9 to approve Grant Humphries as the new police chief. Humphries has more than two decades of experience in law enforcement, all with the Alabaster Police Department.
