Jaylen Sims tallied 19 points, 12 rebounds, and seven assists to lead Bayonne to a 70-37 victory over Jackson Township in the Hudson County MLK Basketball Classic at County Prep High School in Jersey City. Bayonne (11-3) took a 22-8 lead after the first quarter and extended the advantage to 40-18 by halftime.

Entering last Thursday, the men’s team was 4-0 in the conference, while the women were sitting at 2-2. The men were home at F&M Bank Arena to take on the Eastern Kentucky Colonels, while the women were up in Louisville taking on the Bellarmine Knights.
