John Peter Farnham AO, (born July 1, 1949) is an English-born Australian pop singer. Farnham was a teen pop idol from 1964 to 1979, and has since forged a career as an adult contemporary singer.
Farnham, who underwent surgery and subsequent treatment for oral cancer in 2022, said after coming through a fight for his life he was “very grateful to still be here” and was enjoying just “being”.
