One of the world's biggest toy companies has announced a new partnership with an iconic gaming franchise, and the results have fans and collectors excited for what's to come. On Monday, LEGO announced its first line of officially-branded Pokemon building sets,

LEGO just opened preorders for one of its most anticipated licensed releases ever: the L EGO Pokémon Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set ($650). Designed for adult builders and longtime fans, this premium set brings the original Kanto starter trio to life in brick form and is already generating serious buzz among LEGO and Pokémon collectors.

LEGO has plenty of great sets lined up for this year, but this one rumored Architecture set would be a must-buy for collectors.

It includes the Empire’s elephant-like transporter, a Rebel Alliance snowspeeder (with attached tow cable), and a stand that keeps it all in place. The only drawback is the lack of minifigs, as a Luke Skywalker figure hanging on the belly of the mechanical beast would have been a nice touch.
