Portland Police monitored a South Portland ICE protest, leading to four arrests without using crowd control munitions.
Many of the demonstrators began marching down Congress Street around 6 p.m., chanting slogans like, “No justice, no peace, get ICE off our streets.”
Six people were arrested in downtown Portland late Friday night after an hour-long demonstration outside the hotels protestors suspect are hosting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents deployed to the city under “Operation Catch of the Day.”
Multiple organizations and groups hosted a protest and march in downtown Portland on Saturday to protest the Trump administration and ICE activity across the country.
