Ubisoft yesterday announced it's gutting Ubisoft Halifax, the in-house studio behind Assassin's Creed Rebellion and Rainbow Six Mobile, just weeks after the subsidiary voted to unionize, prompting a worker's group to pursue legal action.

The CWA Canada union has said that it will "pursue every legal recourse" to defend the recently unionised workforce at the soon-to-be-closed Ubisoft Halifax.
Ubisoft has started its new year with the closure of its Canada-based studio Ubisoft Halifax. According to a company spokesperson, more than 70 positions are impacted as part of cost-cutting and restructuring measures. Staff were informed about the closure on Wednesday.
