Bagworms are a pest that need to be dealt with before they become an infestation and spread to your other trees. They hatch usually around June and will defoliate your tree pretty quickly. Trees can die from these pests if not kept in check early. Inspect your trees looking for these pointy sacks. Do not compost these sacks and don’t leave them on the ground, dispose of them in the garbage or drown them in water.
