Black women are highly educated. That part is true. What often gets misrepresented is how education data gets interpreted. When people say “Black women are the most educated,” they’re usually referencing within-group data, not comparisons across all race and gender groups. It’s so important to understand how statistics work, because misunderstanding them can distract us from the real issues: wage gaps, burnout, being underpaid, and being overlooked. And just to be clear, this isn’t about effort.
