Pasty butt is the accumulation of poop on a chick's vent (butt). It prevents further elimination of poop. This is one of the most common problems with baby chicks! If left untreated it can cause serious illness or death, but thankfully the treatment is simple! 🫗Grab a cup of warm water 🐥Either dip the chick into the warm water or soak a paper towel in warm water 🧻Use the paper towel to gently wipe until clean 🥥Optional: rub a small amount of coconut oil on the vent to prevent further buildup
