Even when you start with a detailed sketch, things can still move around as you paint and gradually start to feel off. Taking a step back or leaving the piece for a bit often makes those issues easier to spot. Here, I realised the eye was sitting a little too close to the nose and a bit lower compared to the other eye, so I went in and slowly nudged it upward into a better place.
