In 2026, we mark the 80th anniversary of the Danfoss name! When Mads Clausen founded his company in 1933, he named it "Dansk Køleautomatik- og Apparat-Fabrik." Meanwhile, he called the first product "Danfoss" — a combination of “Dan” for Denmark and “foss,” the Scandinavian word for river. The product's name soon became synonymous with the company, but it wasn't officially adopted until 1946. Remarkably, the Danfoss logo dates back to 1942, meaning we had our logo four years before our official
