The blue note is the #4 or the b5 of the key in the minor pentatonic. Sometimes looking at these scale shapes can seem incredibly bland. There is so much potential for music inside these. Throw on a track. Do some sliding, hammers, and pulloffs. The blue note sounds amazing but not necessarily when you’re landing on it…unless you want to make a statement with it! I love sliding down into the 4 or up into the 5 of the blue note. You hear incredible guitarists play that move all the time! Please F
