THE HAWKINS-KENNEDY TEST FOR SUBACROMIAL PAIN SYNDROME (SAPS) The test is positive when the patient's pain is provoked and from an anatomical perpective, this can happen due to the encroachment of rotator cuff tendons and/or bursa when when tuberculum majus is driven into the roof of the acromion.
