After eight years of construction, the Padma Bridge in Bangladesh constructed by CREC was completed and opened to traffic on June 25. Located in the lower reaches of the Padma River, the main bridge is 6.15 km long, with a four-lane highway on the upper level and a single-lane railway on the lower level. As one of the important passages connecting China and Southeast Asia with the "Pan-Asian Railway", the Padma Bridge is affectionately known as the "Bridge of Dreams" by the people of Bangladesh.
