17 reactions | Today I'm having fun with acids and bases as I experiment with color changing indicators! This is bromothymol blue, an indicator used to detect weak acids. We used it in climate camp to test for evidence of ocean acidification, we'll be using it in chemistry camp to test for carbon dioxide when we exhale!
