The graceful spotted eagle ray is one of the largest ray species, reaching a maximum length of 16.4 feet (5 meters), 507 pounds (230 kg), and a wingspan width of up to 10 feet (3 m)! Eagle rays belong to a group of cartilaginous fish in the family Myliobatidae. This family also includes manta rays and cownose rays.
