Police say one person was killed by a Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department officer on Tuesday morning when police found the man pointing a gun at a woman inside an apartment near Russell & Fort Apache. LVMPD says this is the department’s first officer-involved shooting of 2026, coming just a few hours before the department’s second such shooting of the year.
