How to stop a toddler from crying in the store when she wants a toy? Well, generally they've been trained to do that because sometimes you'll give them toys in the store, right? And other times you won't. It’s the inconsistency that upsets them, by allowing them to have toys sometimes and not others. With my kids, they never got toys in the moment when we were shopping, to keep it consistent. When they did get toys, it wasn’t at the shops, it was a surprise for after when we were at home. ` ` `
