Here's my approach to practicing two essential techniques for better legato playing: 1. Left Hand Only - this involves using hammers AND pull-offs as required but making sure to hammer on the first note on every new string. No picking at all. 2. Left Hand Hammers Only - no pull-offs with this approach. This means we must lift each successive finger off the string as we use it.
