Meet the grunt sculpin, the only species in the family Rhamphocottidae! These unique marine fish have a distinctive look, with a large head that's 60% of their body length, a long snout, and two bony ridges on top of their head. Generally found along rocky bottoms of intertidal zones in the Pacific, these unique fish feed primarily on crustaceans, zooplankton and fish larvae.
