Tree Swallows are impressive! They winter in Florida, Central America, and some in Cuba, then migrate as far north as Alaska and Canada in spring to breeding grounds while filling up on insects on the wing to fuel their journey. It is quite remarkable, but sometimes they encounter trouble along the way. Such was the case for this Tree Swallow when it struck a window during its migration. A kind citizen did the right thing by bringing the stunned bird to our clinic. The adult swallow had head tra
