This is one way I wrap columns. It’s simple and effective. I only put 2 fasteners on each side of the column and pre-drill a slightly larger hole so that the metal can expand and contract. I’ve shown other ways of doing columns as well with hidden fasteners. I’ve got 2 columns in my back yard done this way almost 20 years ago in black and they still look good without any oil canning. - they’re almost 11’ tall.
