More than ten times a month, the YKHC Dental team packs up their totes and trunks, head to the airport in Bethel, load onto a plane and fly to communities across the Yukon-Kuskokwim region. In village and subregional clinics, dentists and dental health aide therapists (DHATs, as most of us call them) do exams, fill cavities and perform more complex procedures to help keep smiles bright and mouths healthy.
